Admissions
We appreciate your interest in Academic Success, Incorporated. The admissions process at Academic Success involves careful planning between the prospective student, the student’s family, and the Academic Success team. The transition into college can be an overwhelming experience. Parents face the difficult but necessary task of beginning to let go of the child they have nurtured for so long. Young adults are suddenly faced with unaccustomed independence and opportunities. With little experience on which to base their decisions, students must make decisions that will impact the rest of their lives. Academic Success is not only a safe haven for students, but it is also a place where they are challenged to grow. With proper guidance, exploring opportunities and making decisions towards a rewarding future no longer seems unattainable.
Initial Contact
The parents, guardians, or educational consultant of the applicant and Directors of Academic Success discuss the prospective student's academic record and interests regarding the program. We request that the family provides a psychological report before the next step of the application process.
Family Visit
Academic Success would like to meet the prospective family and student to familiarize them with our program. Families are given a tour of the apartment complex, Santa Fe College, and if time permits, a brief tour of Gainesville. An overview of the program is presented by the Academic Success team, and the family is able to openly discuss its concerns and interests with our staff in addition to meeting current students.
Application
The application packet is usually given to the family personally during the visit. Once we receive the student’s materials to complete the application, our team reviews the application, and the family is informed of our final decision.
Contract and Fees
Once the student is accepted into the program, a contract must be signed by the parents or guardians, and a payment plan is sent to the family shortly thereafter.
